This week has not started as the greatest of all weeks. My cat got eaten by a coyote in front of my mother. Gmail wasn't fun to visit anymore. I have a slight cold and Barry Bonds last game in San Francisco as a Giant is tonight.

So today I decided to take a long walk, which started a debate in my head. Golden Gate Park or the ocean? I then had an epiphany, why not walk to the ocean through Golden Gate Park? And that is what I did.

Every time I go out in this city I love it a little bit more. When I took my walk to the ocean I must have looked like an asshole because I had a big smile on my face because I was so happy to be walking around in San Francisco. There is only one other city in America that gives me that feeling and that is New York City. I don't think I'll be moving there anytime soon so San Francisco is where it's at.

Anyway, when I got to ocean it made me realize how small and insignificant I really am. There is just something about staring at that big blue mass that makes me realize that most of my problems as big as they may seem to me, are actually really small and petty. I'm so glad I decided to take that walk because I no longer have the urge to puke the way I have the past couple days. From now on when I get a little stressed or I have another terrible day like Monday, I am going to take that walk to the ocean and realize that even if it all doesn't work out the way I want to, I'm going to be okay.

So here is my first blog from San Francisco.

Life is great. San Francisco is amazing. If only I had a job or money grew on trees.

I've had two jobs offers so far, but have turned them down because I don't want to turn into a soliciting, money-hungry, capitalistic asshole. Enough said.

Basically, by day I am laying in bed surfing the internet applying to jobs that don't make me want to blow my brains out when I read about then. By night, I go out on the town and drink beer, a lot of beer.

I love this city. Just walking to the store makes me happy. It's beautiful. The weather is perfect. And people are normal.

My apartment is tiny, but cute. Amazing cherry hardwood floors. View of the city. View of Golden Gate Park. View of the ocean.

Next on the agenda, get a job and take the GRE!
